NAACP - Organizational Records, 1926 - 2009, bulk: 1930s-1960s

Scope and Contents

NAACP Organizational records include typewritten, mimeographed, internal reports, as well as legal documents, original and copy correspondence, pamphlets, and publications. Original correspondence between NAACP staff and AFRO staff is found, including letters written by Thurgood Marshall, Walter White, Roy Wilkins, Juanita Jackson Mitchell, and others. Copies of correspondence between NAACP and third parties is also found among organizational records.
